JAGTAP Internally Fed Rotating Drum Screens are suitable for pre-treatment of both municipal and industrial waste water treatment, as well as MBR plants.
The JAGTAP internally-fed rotary drum screens for industrial wastewater applications is designed to provide superior solids recovery from waste streams. The JAGTAP Rotary is specifically for moderate flow and low to medium solids loading. The JAGTAP Rotary can handle flows from 1 to 500 m3/hr dependent on screen design selected. This fully enclosed compact unit includes all the essentialsfor trouble free screening of common Solid/Liquid streams.
The JAGTAP Rotary is constructed of an all stainless steel frame. The cylindrical screening drum element is of wedge wire screen. Screen openings typically range from to 0.1 – 6 mm.
The screen cylinder rotates on four UHMW trunnion wheels with
sealed bearings and is driven by a motor, gear-drive and
corrosion resistant chain and sprocket. It has a fixed spray bar for an automatically applied cleaning shower.
METHOD OF OPERATION
The influent enters a head box, where the energy is dissipated and the flow is evenly distributed onto the interior of the rotary screening drum. Solids are retained on the screen surface while the liquid flows radially out through the screen openings.
Screened solids are transported axially, by internal flights, to the open end of the rotary drum screen. The entire screening surface is intermittently washed by a fixed external spray bar.

This machine is used for the separation and subsequent dewatering and compacting of the solid content in wastewater coming from industrial and municipal Effluent Sewage plants.
JAGTAP Inclined Rotary Drum Screening Machine is composed of the drum assembly, screw shaft, conveying and pressing pipe, support. flushing device, electric cabinet. etc.
1. The screen net of the inclined rotary drum screening machine
can clean by itself when operation. The equipment operates
slowly, gravel and hard objects do not damage the equipment.
the screen filter cannot be blocked, and there are nylon
brushes in the inside of the screen net. The fine screen has
the function of filtration, pressing, dewatering and
transporting. The fully sealing structure can prevent the odor
leaking. The equipment operates stably, the noise is low, the
grid gap is small, the energy consumption is little, and through
the fluid diversion, the separation efficiency can reach over
97%.
2. The shaft screw conveying presser of the inclined rotary drum
screening machine can press and dewater the grid
effectively. During the transporting, the water in the grid slag
will flow out for its gravity.
3. The underwater bearing adopts copper alloy sliding one. This
bearing has the advantages of water resistance, corrosion
resistance and wear resistance, and it can slide by itself in the
water and does not need adding lubricating oil, which can
ensure the equipment long term operation without
maintenance and prolong the service life of the Rotary Drum
Screen.
4. The inclined rotary drum screening machine has the grid frame
flushing system, and the flushing flow is controlled by the
solenoid valve.
Working Principle
The inclined rotary drum screening machine has four functions such as intercepting dregs, getting rid of dregs, spiral lifting and pressing dewatering. It is mounted in the channel with the angles of 35 degrees, and the wastewater flows into the drum from the port of the drum and the grid can intercept the dregs. Then the drum rotates at a fixed speed, and the brush and flush water spray nozzle above the drum can get rid of dregs and export them through spiral lifting.
The whole process is clear and no smell.
Technical Parameters
Manufacturer: JAGTAP Screen type: Inclined Rotary Drum Screen
Water flow: 80-250m3/h
ADVANTAGES
• Low speed of rotation and no intermediate supports
• Self-cleaning with brushes fit on the screw
• Low maintenance and low initial investment
• Considerable reduction of volume and weight
at the end of processing (up to 50%)
• High solids removal efficiency
Main features of JAGTAP Rotary Drum Screens are:
Screw: stainless steel AISI 304 / 316
Structure: stainless steel AISI 304 / 316
Length: the total length may be varied to meet the plant lay-out specifications
Trough Protection: bolted stainless steel wearing bars
Screen Basket: wedge wire screen
Screen Basket Cleaning: bolted brushes and spray nozzles
The unit can be supplied provided with a control panel, which can be electromechanical or PLC controlled.
The conveyor screw consists of a shaftless spiral which collects the solids from the bottom of the screen conveying them without any risk of clogging.
The compactor in the upper part, equipped with a washing section for diminishing organic fractions, uses the conveyor screw for compacting and de-watering of the screenings.
