JAGTAP self cleaning filter is mainly used in the fluid which contains more gravity impurities in filtering medium.???JAGTAP automatic self-cleaning filter is a kind of filter which is suitable for bad environment. It can be equipped with 3500 micron- 50 micron slot size and 200mm - 1000mm pipeline diameter for different using requirements. The cleaning process is started by a differential pressure switch which is monitoring the differential pressure of inlet and outlet, normally the pre-set value is 0.5bar (7psi).JAGTAP self cleaning filter is suitable for filters with DN25~DN900 pipeline to choose from. With advantages of continuously fluid flow, safety operation, simple maintenance, this kind of filter is widely used in all industries.


When the differential pressure of inlet and outlet reaches the pre-set value, the filter will start the cleaning process. The whole self-cleaning process includes two steps: 1. Turn on the drain valve which is on the filter top cover. 2. Two stainless steel brushes inside the filter mesh start to rotate which are driven by motor. The impurities captured by filter mesh are brushed by steel brush and discharged from drain outlet. The whole cleaning process takes about 15-60 seconds. During this time, the filtration system doesn’t interrupt the water supply and the whole operation process is controlled by a control box.

How does the JAGTAP self-cleaning filter work's.


The water flows through the screen and the particles are retained on the inside of the screen of the filter element. The filtered water then flows out through the outlet.
When the particles accumulated to a certain number and the pressure differential increases to the pre-determined level, the flushing cycle starts. 

It include two steps:

First, the automatic drain valve opens on the drainage outlet. Then, electronic motor drives the cleaning brushes which are inside the screen, the solids are expelled through the drain valve.

Filters continue to supply filtered water even during the flushing cycle.The whole working system is controlled by a smart box which has several control modes: pressure differential, time, manual and PLC.

Disc Scraping Self Cleaning Filter 

JAGTAP pneumatic scraping self-cleaning filter ( JEW SSCF FILTER for short), is the new high performance scraping self-cleaning filter independantly developed by JAGTAP Engineering Works. It automatically removes the particles and impurities from the filter element internal surface by mechanical scraping and it can continuously work on-line. JEW SSCF Filter is designed for filtration of high viscosity up to 800,000mPa.s. The filtration degree ranges from 50~1500µm. It can scrape the impurities off the filter element surface most quickly, which makes it more efficiently removing the impurities. It is applicable for water and various viscous liquid.
The JEW SSCF filter is designed and manufactured by following JAGTAP''s high performance, high quality and high reliability standard. The conventional filters get clogged frequently when filtering the viscous liquid and removing the soft impurities. The customers have to select larger filters or clean the filter manually and freqeuntly, which means expensive investment, hard work,valuable liquid loss. JEW SSCF filter solves these kinds of problems by its advanced self-cleaning principle. It always keeps the filter element clean, discharges waste liquid with high impurity concentration, reduces the liquid loss. When filtering the viscous liquids such as dirty water, adhesives, resins, polymers and oils, JEW SSCF filter works more efficiently. JEW SSCF filter is taking place of the vibrating screen, bag filter, basket filter andsome kind of back-flushing filter by its technical advantages and low running cost.
[ Filtering Status ]Liquid enters the filter from the inlet. The spring-loaded disc-shape scraper tightly fits the filter element internal surface and stops at the top of the filter element. The liquid passes the scraper and flows across the filter element from inside to outside. The impurities are blocked on the inner element surface. The liquid flows out from the outlet. After running for a period, more and more impurities accumulate and the pressure dropincreases. Clean the filter element by the preset differential pressure or the preset time cycle.
[ Cleaning Status ]
The cylinder drives the scraper moving up and down and cleaning the filter element. When the scraper moving down, the impurities are pushed down to the filter bottom, and gravity particles settle down to the impurity collection chamber. When the scraper moving up, the remaining impurities are pushed to the top of the filter element and then flushed off by the liquid. The impurities pass the scraper, get back the filter element internal surface and then scraped off when the scraper moving down.Each cleaning cycle consists of several strokes. After cleaning, the filter element are regenerated. When cleaning, it filters normally and flowrate is not interrupted.
[ Purging Status ]After several cleaning cycles, the impurities accumulate more and more.Open the valve periodically and purge the waste liquid of high impurity concentration, which can be recovered if necessary.

Self Cleaning Sugar Clear Juice Filter OPERATION,

JAGTAP Self Cleaning Sugar Clear Juice Filter are specially designed for processing industries and most suitable for sugarcane clear juice filtration.

Liquid flows inside from the inlet. The liquid flows inner from the outer surface of the filter screen, and the impurity is intercepted on the outer surface. Then, the liquid flows out from the outlet; with the passage of time, the impurities gradually increase, and differential pressure rises. We can begin to clean the filter screen according to the preset differential pressure or the timing.


The motor drives the scraper to rotate horizontally to clean the filter screen. When the scraper rotates, impurities are scraped off and filtered along the filter net to the bottom of the filter, and the impurities with large specific gravity are deposited into the dirty collector. Each cleaning is made up of a number of strokes. After the filter screen is cleaned, the filtering ability is restored. No filtration interruption while self-cleaning.

After a number of cleaning cycles, impurities accumulate to a certain amount. Regular opening of drain valve, and the waste liquid containing high concentration of impurities is discharged. which can also be recycled, if necessary.
