JAGTAP automatic self cleaning filters / self cleaning strainers make it possible to operate the entire system without interruptions – online backwashing with continuous process flow and uninterrupted process operation. The filtration and self-cleaning, backwashable feature of the filter are extremely reliable. This keeps operating costs low and avoids production shutdowns.
This is how the self-cleaning, backwash of an automatic filter, strainer functions:
The medium flows through the filter element providing surface filtration, either from inside to outside or from outside to inside, depending on the technology. The dirt particles are retained on the filtration surface. The cleaned medium is directed to the filter outlet.
Once the differential pressure reaches a pre-set level, a signal is transmitted from the differential pressure indicator to the control logic and automatically triggers the backflushing operation cycle.
